Real Estate Disputes & Litigation
Bury & Co. litigates easement disputes, boundary conflicts, adverse possession, ejectment, slander of title, partition actions, mechanic’s liens, foreclosures, condemnation, and HOA disputes — in circuit court and on appeal. We’ve argued before the Supreme Court of Virginia and the Court of Appeals.
Boundary & Easement Disputes
Property lines aren’t always clear. Neighbors disagree. Surveys conflict. Easements exist that were never recorded. We litigate boundary disputes, easement conflicts, and prescriptive easement claims across Virginia’s circuit courts.
WE HANDLEBoundary line disputes

Quiet Title & Adverse Possession
When ownership is uncertain — because of missing heirs, defective deeds, or decades of unrecorded use — a quiet title action resolves it. We bring and defend quiet title suits, adverse possession claims, and ejectment actions in circuit courts across Virginia.

Foreclosure & Condemnation
We handle foreclosures and represent property owners in condemnation actions. In condemnation, the question is rarely whether the government can take the property — it’s how much they pay for it. When the government takes or damages property without filing a formal action, we bring inverse condemnation claims to recover just compensation.
WE HANDLEForeclosure proceedings
Deed of trust disputes
Eminent domain and condemnation

Just compensation disputes
HOA & Condominium Disputes
We represent homeowners, boards, and associations in disputes over assessments, CC&R enforcement, architectural controls, and board governance. Virginia’s Property Owners’ Association Act and Condominium Act create specific obligations and remedies. We litigate them.
